Welcome to Australia

A Scotsman's Internet Look at Australia.

As a thank you to friends in Australia, who have helped me with this site. I have done a little travelling through the internet, to help me understand a little bit more of their wonderful country. Included are some pictures and links below for us Brits, who may wish to travel there.

Here you will find out a little about their beautiful country.
And they do have their own
JBA Owners Club.

Sydney

The famous Sydney Opera House.

Situated at Bennelong Point at Circular Quay on Sydney Harbour.

From pictures of some of their wildlife, to links that will lead you to some beautiful paces such as The Great Barrier Reef. And about their famous song.

Everyone knows the Koala bear.
It actually, isn't really a bear at all, as it is related to the marsupials.

Like the Opera House and the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge at night.

Known as "The Coat Hanger Bridge".

Not forgetting Ayers Rock. Uluru

In the Northern Territory.

Australia has cities deserts and rainforests.

Out in the Bush. You may come across these plants, which are known as Blackboys.

This is a photo of a Billabong which is a pond in the outback. I don't know exactly where.

But the Combo Waterhole near Kynuna was the billabong setting for Australia's best known song. Their other National Anthem.
"Waltzing Matilda".

Kooralbyn N.P.

Australia has loads of National Parks and all the sights a visitor could ever wish to see.

They also have Golf courses in abundance.

The Kookaburra.

A bird with a strange voice, which sounds more like laughter, than anything else. That's why it is sometimes known as the Laughing Kookaburra.

Swim with the Dolphins in WA.

Monkey Mia Dolphins.

They just love people. A separate section of the beach is set aside where visitors can swim with the dolphins and observe their antics and family interactions.

You can feed the Monkey Mia dolphins, under supervision as feeding is very strictly controlled.

The Largest Reef in The World.

This is a place I would dearly love to visit. To see the beautiful Butterfly fish, in their natural habitat among
the living coral and crustaceans. From the common clown fish.

To the beautiful

Clown Trigger fish and the Morrish Idol.

The Great Barrier Reef

Perth Western Australia.

A lovely city, it is also the home of The JBA Owners Club of Australia.

The JBA Owners Club.

The Australian JBA Owners Club is very active and has 45 members, most of whom are situated in Perth, Western Australia. Some are in country towns, others in Queensland, with another away down in Tasmania.

Australia’s six States are New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania. The mainland territories are the Australian Capital Territory (ACT), home of the national capital, Canberra, which includes Jervis Bay Territory, and the Northern Territory.

And they do have Highland cattle.

Hi! "Jock",  I have had a look round your beautiful country and it's fair dinkum. Wished I could have been there in person and met you and seen some of these wonderful places. Say G'day to Peter and Sandy for me.

Yes Fair Dinkum!
If I had been younger, I guess I would be waltzing my matilda to Oz.
