 JBA OWNERS Club
Whiteman Park Classic Car Show
 March 17th. 2002.

The JBA Owners Club had a brilliant day out at the Classic Car Show at Whitemans Park. Some of our cars are featured below.
The event is probably the biggest single gathering of classic and vintage cars in WA and usually attracts a very big crowd.

This beautiful Falcon is painted in A.M.C. dark green  metallic and belongs to Ron Metcalf.

Ron commenced his build on the 8th, August 2000. His car was licensed and on the road on the 31st. July 2001.

The dash is made of Western Australian Jarrah. Instruments are electronic V.D.O. with white face and gold rims. A radio sits inside the glove box, with the windscreen frame used as an aerial.

Upholstery is all leather.

It is fitted with a Toyota 3Y four cylinder engine which are used in light commercials and coupled to a manual five speed gearbox from a Toyota Supra sports car.

This Falcon tourer belongs to Steve and Sue Landers.

The weather wasn't overly kind on the day, but did not detract too many people and didn't dampen too many spirits.

This Falcon belongs to Jamie B Stone.

It was built by Merv Mathews.

It is fitted with a Toyota 1600 engine.

The wooden box under the bonnet is a toolbox.

Rick and Donna Virago's Falcon.

We had a great day out for the Whiteman Park event and I am sure that all that attended enjoyed it as much as Donna & I.

I managed to catch up the the new "El' Presidente", who seems like a top bloke, very enthusiastic, and quite forward thinking. I am sure his contribution can only benefit both the members and the future of the club with more events and the new ideas that come along with more members attending the events.

As usual there seemed to be a high level of interest in the JBA's in general. This was obviously helped by the quality and finish of the cars that attended.

Murray Fraser attended the show with this lovely red example.

A big Thanks must go to Murray & Susan Fraser for putting on the Sausage sizzle for Breakie.

Not so good for those on a diet but great tasting all the same.

This Falcon was built by Alan Paul.

It is fitted with a Toyota 3Y two litre engine.

Alan is the past president of the JBAOC.

The licence plate number is in recognition of the 1938 Jaguar SS 100.

All in all a Great day out. Thanks to all those who attended and thanks to Bob Chaplin for taking the photographs.
