Warning from JBA Owners Club

There are a few JBA Falcons that have been appearing for sale on other websites which are incorrectly registered, these are coming back on the market again and sold with or without road tax.
If the JBA you are buying is registered as JBA same name as the manufacturer including JBA Falcon, JBA Sports, JBA Tourer, JBA Javelin etc that is fine.
If it is registered as something other than JBA you have problems e.g. registered as a Ford Sports, Capri, Cortina, Sierra. Falcon Sports, Javelin Coupe or something similar, it is incorrectly registered, take great care and investigate documents thoroughly.
Always examine the DVLA log book V5C, do not accept SORN form as proof or accept vendors word that it is properly registered even if it has an M.o.T. as it may have been "manufactured" on a computer. You will not be able to tax the vehicle and it may have to go through an SVA test plus a Vic test if you have not got original factory receipts, be aware rules can change at any time check with DVLA and Vosa. DVLA will catch up with incorrectly registered kitcars that are already taxed.

You can also use the Vehicle Enquiry service to check what information DVLA holds on its database about a vehicle. Note all details from DVLA Log book & compare number plate and do a free vehicle search with DVLA if still unsure.

JBA Falcon Sports January 14th 2008

First registered 1995. Engine is a 2 litre ford pinto from a car owned by the original builder, and fully reconditioned prior to fitting.

All other parts were either reconditioned or new, including radiator, stainless steel bumpers, badge and spot bars, and an exclusively made stainless steel luggage rack and exhaust system. Five new alloy wheels and tyres, wooden steering wheel, multi CD and radio cassette player, plus all usual instrumentation. Includes new purpose built petrol tank and new battery and full hood.
This car has only done 2552 DRY miles since first built and is in pristine condition, finished by a professional sprayer in Mercedes red. The car is MOT’d until June 2008 but would walk another 12 month ticket. Time and other commitments have stopped me using this so it is time it had a home where it would be appreciated.

SVA Documentation Requirements

JBA Engineering Ltd. Sales Invoice Make sure any unfinished kit is supplied with this, it is the bill of sale for the original Kit along with kit contents list when first purchased from factory.

Also DVLA Log book V5 or V5C if donor car was used or receipts for Ford parts purchased if no specific donor car was used.
Sales receipts for all other parts used are required by SVA.

JBA Falcon Roadster Unfinished Kit Listed 19th March 2008

The kit is at the running chassis stage with the aluminium cockpit, boot, grille and GRP front wings fitted.
Still to fit are the bonnet, rear wings and side windows. One of the aluminium clad doors has been completed but not the second.
The dashboard is complete and seats are fitted. There are new alloy wheels plus hood frame, tow bar and a badge bar. No engine or gearbox. Comes with JBA paperwork and original donor car log book.
