Hi! my name is Robbie Gibson, I live in a small village near Dunfermline in the county of Fife in SCOTLAND. I was born in Stirling on Rabbie Burns day, the day of our national bard.

When I left school I started work as an apprentice cinema projectionist until I was called up in 1955 to do National Service and trained as a signaller/gunner and served for three years in The Royal Scots Greys.

When I left the army in 1958 I passed my PSV with Glasgow Corporation Transport and drove buses in the city of Glasgow for a couple of years, but I always wanted to be a long distance lorry driver.

This was a job that served me well when I was building the JBA. Firstly I was able to collect my Falcon in a 45 foot curtain trailer. Then I was able to visit any suppliers that were on my route. Tachograph law allows us to drive four and a half hours then you must have a 45 minute break. The JBA factory is four and a quarter hours from our base. Therefore I used to pop into the factory to have my break and pick up anything I had ordered. My job now is only local driving in Scotland. I gave up the distance about 6 years ago.

I retired from work from my last employers Len Hind & Sons on Wednesday 18th December 2002. Thanks to my workmates and employers for the gifts they bestowed upon me.

I am married to my wife Janet but everybody calls her Bunny.

I call her Mrs. Moneypenny.

We have two grandsons. Tony who will be 19 this year and is daft on motorbikes. Dane, who is daft on football and is coming up for 15.  He is a Celtic fanatic.
Jody, our only Grandaughter will be 14 this year.

My main interest is cars but my mate Mike Cushley gave me an old computer to play around with and I became addicted. They fascinate me.

I like music Roger Miller, Roy Orbison, The Eagles, Dr Hook, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, The Fureys, Runrig and Gaberlunzie.

Favourite Films... The Bond Movies only with Sean Connery, also "A Fistful of Dollars"  "A Few Dollars More" and "The Good the Bad and the Ugly" plus two films about Scotland "Whisky Galore" and "Greyfriars Bobby".

Favourite Comedians..... The Two Ronnies I thought they were brilliant and I also liked Ronnie Barker in the TV series "Porridge" with Fulton McKay. One TV series I would like to see is "Chancer" I've missed it,   about a sports car factory and you will never guess the cars they used . Yes the JBA Falcon renamed  and re-badged The Leopard in the film.

Favourite drink is..."Tennent's Lager" brewed in Glasgow. Whisky "Bruichladdich" and "Bunnahabhain" from the Island of Islay.

When I was a youngster I was fascinated by MG's from the J type, the P type, the T type the PB and the TC being my two favourites. I fist saw the JBA Falcon in 1992 and it reminded me of the MG TD, but the Falcon was not a replica of anything, more of a car in it's own right, that is what endeared me to the marque.

Mike Cushley's Tourer which he later sold.
My Sports and Dave Tennant's Plus Two.
