This Website Will No
Longer Promote the JBA Factory
This website which has been
running since 1999 and was considered by JBA directors
Dave Ashley and Ken Jones as a great promotional tool for
them. Indeed I had a great deal of help and information
from them regarding the kits.
After 22 years manufacturing the JBA Falcon they decided to sell the
business and on the 1st August 2004 Tim Banwell bought the
company.
Since then JBA Engineering Ltd has taken a rapid downward
spiral and destroyed the good reputation the previous
directors enjoyed from its' concept in 1982.
There have been a
catalogue of disasters with factory unable to supply
something as simple as a piece of aluminium bottom
windscreen channel and side screen glass
in March 2005.
In May 2005 JBA Engineering Ltd was once again put up for
sale but no buyer could be found, although I knew of two,
who never received another communication from the factory,
once they indicated that they would have their auditors
and lawyers run checks.
During this period owners
had to have their builds and a turnkey car rescued in bits
from the factory. Many owners and customers had to resort
to legal means to try and recover money paid to JBA
Engineering Ltd.
A new deal was struck in
November 2005 that GTS Tuning of Kent would manufacture
parts and kits under licence, with the company still
belonging to Tim Banwell.
So far they have been unable to provide owners with any
parts and refuse to answer owners that have paid for parts
and not received them. Owners who have made their cheques
out to GTS Tuning have failed to receive refunds without threatening legal action.
If You
Should Find Yourself in this Situation read Guide below.
This year as the factory address has again changed. You should send a recorded delivery letter to the factory and a copy to the Trading Standards where the company resides, addresses below.

Although I am a JBA Fanatic
and another new rescue deal is soon to be put on the
table, I cannot support it after receiving legal advice, suggesting it was a high risk venture.
Therefore I would advise anyone interested to have their
lawyers institute full financial checks and tread very
carefully.
The situation is worse than it was last year, Tim Banwell
does not have a product to sell.
If you need parts for any
JBA model the only people who can offer any help is
the JBA Owners Club.

Due to the current
situation, I have decided to close
most of this site down and only promote the JBA Owners
Club. Please give them your support, they are the people
who have the interest of the JBA Marque to heart.
